It’s Not Working Out

Hi there, Average Quilters! So, you know how I joined a UFO quilt along at the beginning of the year? Well, I’m already behind! It’s only partially my fault.

So, what happened was that it was time for the annual maintenance of my beautiful Babylock Crescendo, which I bought last year. I knew the day would come eventually, and I figured that it would only be a couple days or maybe a week before I got my beast back. Well… COVID is still affecting things and it’ll actually be 2-3 weeks before I get her back! Oh no!!! There are so many projects to do!

Without a sewing machine, I’d have to actually clean the house or something. That’s not acceptable – Ha! So, I test drove a few machines and settled on a second hand Babylock Verve. A review of my new baby will come soon.

Well, the APQ’s UFO resolution quilt along is moving along, and the number for this month is seven. Number seven on my list is a couple of table runners that just need quilting and binding, which istotally doable, even with my Verve’s smaller throat space. I don’t know why I’m scared to try it.

I still have 2 weeks remaining, so maybe I’ll get brave, or maybe I’ll move the projects around and do a binding instead. Whatever – as long as I actually get a UFO done this month right? Right.

How is your UFO pile? Hopefully shrinking! Let me know in the comments.
